In 1998 the research project was initiated at the ZHW leading to the first flight in September 2001. Since then many successful test flights have been performed with the plane either hill launched by foot or bungee or towed from flats by car, winch, trike or airplane. During that period of time the flight behaviour, the operational use of the prototype at hang-gliding sites and the general flightworthiness has been tested and examined. As a result an entire new styled and safe airplane was established, fulfilling all requirements of the specification and providing to its pilots new possibilities in the field of super lightweight gliding.
