Training steps
The pilot training for the Archaeopteryx is done in five steps:
First Basic training in a glider
- Two-seater glider with a rudder. Training flights by glider flight instructor until the first solo flight. Risk of admission.
Second Instruction Archaeopteryx
- Handling, checks, flight characteristics, limitations, proper industrial handling, transport (according to manual)
Third Training flights with Archaeopteryx
- Beforehand, check flight in a glider-seater with Archaeopteryx flight instructor at his request. Maybe the demo flight instructor. Archaeopteryx first flights in the car towed. Flying high, risk training, test preparation, introduction to thermal and slope soaring, sustained flight at least an hour.
4th Flight testing, licensing (If necessary)
- The licensor [link: License] varies by country. In Switzerland, the hang-authorized certification for 3-axis-controlled (controlled stick) fixed-wing aircraft to fly with the Archaeopteryx.
5th Admissions to alternative modes start
- Experience flights in the more basic types of foot start off from a mountain, bungee launch from the mountain and aircraft towing duties from the airport conducted according to requirements. This can happen naturally even before the flight test.
