Archaeopteryx prototype electric flights

altTwo quick adaptive electric pods under the Archaeopteryx wings enable the original prototype from 2003 self-launching from flat areas.

altThis is the result of a bachelor thesis by two students from the School of Engineering Winterthur (ZHAW). The clear objective of her thesis was to bring the Archaeopteryx airborne by their electric launch system, in cooperation with Ruppert Composite. And that worked!
